Executive Home Manager & Au Pair

We’re not just looking for a housekeeper. And this isn’t your typical au pair role either. We’re looking for a Home Ops Ninja. A self-managing, proactive, high-energy human who loves keeping a home running like a dream, and thrives when their work helps a family function at it’s absolute best. Someone who blends the care and presence of an au pair with the ownership and systems thinking of an executive assistant.

โ What you’ll own in this role:
- Daily full cleaning and tidying of a small, modern home, as well as an office.
- Laundry and ironing (yes, including bedding – it matters).
- Personal admin and life logistics (from filing to fridge restocks and gift prep).
- Grocery shopping, errands, and making the house run smoothly.
- Driving our children and dogs (license and safe track record required).
- Overseeing and scheduling property maintenance and service providers.
- Light, healthy meal prep and cooking when needed.
- Occasional travel with the family (think adventure with structure).
Think of this as a hybrid of executive housekeeper + family PA + trusted au pair.

- Exceptionally organised and able to manage multiple moving parts.

- Tech-savvy enough to WhatsApp, email, make to-do lists, and coordinate tasks online.
- A confident driver who can handle logistics safely.
- Loves supporting a family and helping kids thrive (even if it’s not full childcare).
- Trustworthy and discreet – our home is our sanctuary.
๐ Required qualifications:
- Proven household management experience.
- Passionate about children and animals.
- Cultural awareness and adaptability.
- Confident handling challenging situations and changing schedules.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Physical ability to handle household tasks.
- Computer literate with ability to manage calendars, email and task lists.
- Valid South African driver license with a record of safe driving.
- Clean background check.
๐ Hours and Pay:
- Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm
- Flexibility required: some evening and weekend hours will apply occasionally.
- Salary: R15,000 to R17,000 per month depending on experience.
- Paid leave.
